ABOUT

Joe Keeley is a 26 year old singer/songwriter from Suffolk. After being raised on classic country music and heavily influenced by his musician father, Joe left school at 17 to pursue a career in music and has been captivated by alt-country Americana and Rock 'n' Roll ever since.

Joe has played in many bars around the country both playing independently and as a duo with his father (being known as ‘The Keeley’s’). He also earns his living busking and networking with many other people in the music industry, having collaborated with other musicians on social media platforms. Having grown up being somewhat of a misfit with a stubborn passion for a very niche genre of music, writing songs that are authentic and from truth is very important to Joe.

As Joe was growing up, he often joined his father on tours while he was playing in 90's country rock and roll band Blackjack. Life on the road and being surrounded by this type of music made him fall in love with artists like Steve Earle, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, all considered 'outlaws' of country music. As much to the dismay of his mother, Joe found artists like these to be of a huge inspiration to himself and his music.

After making his name as a solo artist, Joe has now teamed up with fellow Suffolk musicians to form his new project, The Joe Keeley Band. With Alex Raymond (drums), Jonathan Brian (bass) and Jack Lawson (lead guitar) he has managed to create a sound that draws from country and rock influences.

Joe's music is very lyric driven, drawing on his own experiences along with inspiration from his love of outlaw country stars creates a project which can be appreciated by music fans young and old. With fierce integrity and a strong reluctance to make anything that he doesn’t believe in, he is making bold moves in a very ‘headstrong’ way to keep country music alive and appreciated.

His debut album 'Headstrong' was released February 2019 and was a Top 10 selling UK country album.

His two new singles 'Headstrong' and 'No Good Livin'' were re-released with The South East Three on the 16th of September 2019 and reached the top 5 of the UK Country charts.

The new Joe Keeley Band album 'Blackwood' was released June 18th 2020 and topped the charts as the UK's No.1 Country album.

Their latest release was 5 track EP 'Burial Ground', which is available on all major streaming platforms.
